2.3 Management Style we witness Jules Ostin implement a Transformational Management and Leadership style. Transformational leadership is proactive by nature. Jules Ostin embodies a leader who helps her employees achieve their higher order needs while at the same time achieve the businesses goals. An example of this in the film is with her receptionist Becky. She encourages and places many responsibilities on her which pressurises her, but enforces her to work to her best abilities with the utmost quality. We in fact view a comparison of professionalism of the past vs professionalism of the present. Ben Whittaker embodies an old school form of professionalism as he dresses smartly, speaks firmly with correct English, carries a briefcase, works until the boss leaves and acts with the respectable manner of that of an employee with in a traditional office. However, at About the Fit, the employees are encouraged to dress comfortably, be themselves, speak respectably, but relaxed, work with their technological devices such as Apple Mac laptops, leave when their work hours for the day are over and basically feel comfortable with in their working space to enforce creativity, a want to work in their position and a sense of freedom and enjoyment so that they work hard, smart and effectively. Neither types of professionalism are incorrect as they were both applicable at the suitable business of the time. Both forms of professionalism also benefited that company. As we learn that Ben use to work for a phone book printing company we begin to realise that that was a standard job that could use a very ordered a strict form of professionalism.
