His outfit, as well as his mannerisms, does not follow what was acceptable in society’s point of view at that time. His open jacket and partially opened shirt underneath shows some skin. Presley also has a chiseled appearance, and was known by host Ed Sullivan as “Elvis the Pelvis.” These examples indicate that while people came for his music, many people were also drawn to his sex appeal. Elvis moved around on stage which accentuated the beat of the music, as well as showcased the high energy and fast rhythm of the song. However, as he moved around on stage, the camera would focus on his actions, and not on his group, showing that Elvis had the primary importance and priority in the group. His musicality is apparent in this video, but not obvious due to the distracting dance moves that he does. He sings the song with the proper rhythm, but his tone and professionalism on stage is affected by the sensual dance moves he performs. Presley’s source of inspiration is a song first made popular by Little Richard in 1956, but was written by two other songwriters: Robert Blackwell and John Marascalco. Elvis is famous for mainly singing covers of singles, rather than writing his own songs. I believe that the influence of Elvis on the Beatles is that Elvis tied
...sley performed his music in all types of genres. Presley allowed musicians to step out of the box and be their selves. He had hit songs in gospel, rock, pop, and country. Although he lived a short life, he is still famous in some people’s eyes. I met a woman who had attended one of Elvis’s performances and she said it was the best concert she had ever been to. During the concert she said Elvis was dancing and all the girls were going crazy as always. He removed his scarf and threw it into the crowd she was the lucky one who caught it. She still has his scarf in her house, and will never forget the memories of that night. Elvis passed away on August 16, 1977 in his home from heart failure. The King still lives on in many people’s lives and his music career helped many people. Elvis Presley led the way for many musicians, and has impacted the lives of many people.

After being released from the military King had plans of leaving plantation life for the big city. He tried to convince members of small gospel groups he sung with to join him but realized if he was going to make it big he'd have to do it on his own. He eventually left Mississippi and hitchhiked to Memphis with $2.50 in his pocket. When King arrived in Memphis in 1946 he stayed with his cousin Bukka White who was a well known blues-man.

When Elvis was little, he moved very often. Only two things in his life were stable, his family and music. He was picked on a lot as a child because he came from a very poor family. He dyed his hair black and wore it in an unusual style and it made him look like a comic book character, Captain Marvel Jr. With problems at school, Elvis continued to surround himself with music. By high school, his family had moved all the way to Memphis Tennessee. Elvis had a style of music and singing that was all his own. He had taken all he had known and combined it into his own, different style. This style was so different than any other white person had done.
The 42-year-old-Presley was found face down on the floor of a bathroom at Graceland , his 18-room mansion, at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 16. He was last seen early that day playing racquet ball with members of his entourage. According to the medical investigator, Presley had "stumbled or crawled several feet before he died." Elvis was officially pronounced dead at 3:30 p.m. at the Baptist Memorial Hospital. The cause of death was heart disease but many speculate that the combined amount of prescription drugs--at least 10 over all--in his system could have played a role.
Elvis Aaron Presley was raised by his mother Gladys, to have a strong faith in God. And while he was still very young, Presley, attended the Assembly of God Church with his parents, where gospel music became an enormous influence on him. His musical talents and instrumental prowess soon began to impress his parents, peers and even his teachers at Humes High School in Memphis, that he earned his first guitar at the early age of ten. After graduating in 1953, Presley decided to get his hands on some paying jobs. He worked a number of jobs while pursuing his musical dream. He recorded his first demo record at what later became known as Sun Studio that same year, his persistence paid off when, Sam Phillips, the record label owner, decided to take him under his wing. Presley soon began touring and recording, trying to catch his first big break. Then, his First Single called "That's All Right" was recorded in 1954.

Elvis soon after joined the army in the March of 1958 and fought in Germany, and when his mother passed away, he attended her funeral but left to finish his duty as a soldier in Germany where he met his wife to be, Priscilla Beaulieu. They got married in 1967 after he left the Army in 1960 and reestablished his career of being one of the top musicians of his time. Also, in his time of getting back on top, he acted in many other movies and even started his own TV show called “68 Comeback,” in 1968 when he realized that his career was going
