Mythology is a huge subject discovering how each culture had similar myths and common ones are always interesting. Egyptian mythology is very interesting it is not much different than some beliefs today. Egypt had the ideas of greater beings and are commonly depicted and expressed in photographs as beautiful people living lavish lives. Mythology provides detailed information about gods and goddesses of the ancient people of Egypt.
Egypt mythology is one of the most complex yet interesting mythologies in history. They have beliefs that are fascinating and most of them are still mysteries to us today. Mythology is defined as a collection of interrelated stories of a given culture.
The starts of myths are a way to explain why things are happening in nature and are the only way to explain why certain things are happening such as the change in weather. A myth can start as a story and turn into an elaborate story about how the world was created and reasons as to why it happened and in the steps everything was created as well. They can be very detailed or bare bones. Egyptian mythology elevated the people in their stories to the level of Gods and Goddesses by giving them supernatural and special powers (Riordan 2013). Many myths in Egyptian mythology seem to be deprived from scrolls or hieroglyphs that were found in temples and pyramids.
Egyptians were very aware of everything around them and everything had a meaning behind it. They saw something important in everything such as the river, desert, water, and moon (N/A 2012). Egyptians to some people may have gone over the top in the amount of gods that they created. There are hundreds of different gods some are part animal and others are configurations of human bodies and animal bodies ...

...t only gave us wonderful stories they make us realize that everything we do has a cause and effect and that’s very important to remember. Mythology is not only a source of ideas it’s a way to look threw the eyes of people who lived hundreds if not thousands of years ago.
