Intro:
What is the Health issue associated with body image?
Body image plays a massive part in an adolescent’s life and can have both negative and positive effects on their well-being. Body image refers to the way a person feels about themselves and how their shape, weight, height and many others can force them to feel as though they’re un-attractive or incomparable to others.
This report explores the issues relating to young Australians and the effects that body image can have on them. It will identify many social, emotional, physical, and mental issues of young Australians and the long and short term effects it has had on them. Individual and community risk reductions will be discussed along with the ways in which we can all prevent the negative effects body image has on adolescents.
Throughout, many statistics will be shown along with the overwhelming facts that can occur with negative Body image. There will also be steps and precautions that can be taken to improve and eliminate Body Image issues, along with the ways to identify if somebody close to you is experiencing the issue. Risk reduction strategies will be talked about along the way and procedures we can take to prevent the negative effects body image has on adolescents. There will also be a summary on what has been implemented in communities prior to this day to eliminate the negative consequences negative body image makes. Pictures will be included to show the graphical and horrifying sizes of men and woman who are experiencing this ongoing issue, and the effects it has on their bodies physically. This will allow you to examine and compare them to a person of your average size and build, and show you just how serious and life changing this issue is to adolescents....

...emale capable of many roles, I do believe such toys put an early pressure on girls. When girls are young they are still trying to find themselves. They may learn later that Santa and Barbie aren't real, but that does not mean problems such as eating disorders won't start prior to them discovering reality. I believe more attention should be focused on talents and skills such as musical and academic.
If it was a requirement for the media to eliminate photo-shopping and have healthy weight models I believe the world would be happier and less stressed. We are living in a cruel false world that unfortunately only some people can look past the faulty imaging. Changing the media would change not only our perceptions of ourselves, but our perceptions of those around us. Changing perceptions would eliminate harsh criticisms and create a better example for the future.
