Culture is described as being characteristics of a group through beliefs, morals, values and religious views and so forth. Ecuador has a machismo view that they are taught from birth, the man works and supports the family while the women stays at home and looks after the house. So from a Military perspective, you will see all males in military roles. Ecuador’s machismo belief would definitely play a huge role in how their society is run. Politics would be male dominant, how money is spent on the country, the countries military all decisions made by males. Predominately religious belief is 95% Catholic, so their belief in God is very strong and encouraged from birth. The Roman Catholic Church has a strong influence on personal and social

Paraguay is a South America country that is land lock between Bolivia, Argentina, and Brazil. Its estimated population of Paraguay is around 6,623,252 people. Also, poverty has been an issue over the last 10 years and remains high especially in the rural areas. However, in recent years many regions have been improving in terms of housing quality, potable water, electricity and phone service. Also, the fertility rate is declining significantly, “from an average 4.3 births per woman in the late 1990s to about 2 in 2013, as a result of the greater educational attainment of women, increased use of contraception, and a desire for smaller families among young women.” (CIA, GOV)
Chile has a vast cultural influence that becomes complex dating back to early agricultural settlements all the way up to the late pre-hispanic period. Northern Chile for instance was a region that was heavily influenced by altiplano traditions. These particular traditions spread all the way to the coastal valleys of the north. In the southern regions, influence came from the Mapuche cultural activities. The country has been dominated mainly by spanish rule from early colonial period all the way up to the Republican period. Hence, Chile’s main cultural influence originates from the Spanish. Chile was not only influenced by the Spanish, but other countries as well. These countries consisted of French, German, English and other European influences. Something interesting about the German migrants is they are influenced by Bavarian style rural architecture. Being such a huge impact on the style of cities, the Germans have influenced architecture in cities such as Valdivia, Osorno, Puerto Varas, Victoria and many others.

Infant mortality is considered a worldwide indicator of a nation’s health status. The United States still ranks 24th in infant mortality compared with other industrialized nations, even though infant mortality has declined steadily over the past several decades. Compared with the national average in 1996 of 7.2 deaths per 1,000 live births, the largest disparity is among blacks with a death rate of 14.2 per 1,000 in 1996 which is almost 2½ times that of white infants (6 deaths per 1,000 in 1996). American Indians as a whole have an infant death rate of 9 deaths per 1,000 in 1995, but some Indian communities have an infant mortality rate almost twice that of the national rate. The same applies to the Hispanic community, whose rate of 7.6 deaths per 1,000 births in 1995 doesn’t reflect the Puerto Rican community, whose rate was 8.9 deaths per 1,000 births in 1995.
The official language of Ecuador is Spanish, but fortunately in tourists attracted area's many people speak English, French, and German such as Quito. Although the Catholic religion is predominant, churches of many faiths will be found throughout the country. There are ten Indian-nationalities, each one with its own distinctive language and customs, making Ecuador a fascinating multi-cultural country.
