When Looking at a well know published magazine like Vogue, Glamour, and Top Model, they all show beautiful women with extraordinary beauty and amazing sense of style and fashion. But when looking at the models, do they really resemble the average women reading these magazines that the ads and articles are intended for? Women and men are going through great lengths hurting themselves to achieve such figures that the magazines show as beautiful. These people suffer from eating disorders are starving themselves or eating then purging to get rid of the food. These are serious and isn’t something that can simply be stopped by just eating a normal diet again. On the other side of the spectrum there are people that have another type of eating disorder that’s the exact opposite, these people have suffered from over eating and allowing their bodies to grow to an unhealthy size that causes serious health issues and possibly death (Eating Disorders). Body Image can be viewed in many different ways to different people. When talking about what’s healthy though every body is different but achievable depending on genetics. People should focus on what is important and beneficial to their bodies and prevent themselves from obtaining an eating disorder.

Seeing oneself as large or to large can lead to an eating disorder, there are multiple types of ways people try to get thin or maintain their tiny body structure. One of the most common is bulimia. This is were a person binges or over eats food during a meal or an episode then uses a method to get rid of the food the just eat, either by purging or an abusive method of laxatives.
