Recommended: Cyber crimes versus traditional crimes

Definition of cybercrime Cybercrime, what is cybercrime? I thought it would be fitting for us to define what cybercrime is, therefore, the definition of cybercrime is “crimes that are done over the internet using the computer to target victims so that they can steal valuable information about the victim, their business or bank account, etc. Now that we have the definition of cybercrime we will address what the personality profile of a typical cyber-criminal are, and give more details pertain to some our findings about cyber crimes. We will then move on to some of the specific kind of crimes that cyber-criminals might commit, and formulate a policy for what we should do about cyber criminals who work from foreign countries that are hostile to the United States, or lack extradition treaty with the United States. Personality profile of a typical cyber criminal The profile of a cybercriminal is typically a younger person between the ages of 14 to about 26, but I think they could be a little older like from ages 27 to about 45. They tend to be very educated, bright and very computer savvy. They also “have expensive, higher-end computer systems, substantial computer programming knowledge and spend most of their lives online, usually playing massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPG) for hours on end” (M.U.S.E, 2013, p. 1). They do not have to live in your neighborhood or state, they can live anywhere in the world as long as they have access to the internet. There are very few cyber criminals that live in other countries like China and the Soviet Union, but the United States has more cyber criminals than other countries.
