Elisha pressed himself against the rough bark of the tree and tried to quiet his ragged breathing. If they catch me now, I will never see the end of this! He thought to himself. And if I fail to elude them this time, than all is lost. Elisha heard the man’s heavy breathing just on the other side of the tree. However, the man passed to Elisha’s left. Elisha saw that the man had left his horse unguarded. He allowed the man to take a few more steps away from the horse, then he made a daring dash towards the animal and he tried to mount, but the animal kicked Elisha so hard in the jaw that it caused him to lose consciousness.
When Elisha woke up, he found himself on the cold hard floor of a dungeon. His head felt like it was going to explode. Gingerly, he put his hand up to feel it. The pain increased with that slight touch until he could hardly bear it. He sat up after a few minutes, when his head had stopped pounding. He saw that he was in a small cell, no bigger than six feet by six feet. His feet were chained in manacles. He saw no way to escape. Suddenly the door opened, and in came a man.
“Ah, I see our little prisoner has awakened. I hope we won’t need to… hmm, use any unpleasant measures to get you to talk, mmm?” Elisha recoiled at the sound of the man’s voice.
“I know who you are, James! And I am not afraid of you!” Elisha said angrily.
“Not yet, boy. Not yet!” James chuckled evilly. “But you will be! And you will confess! You will betray all your information!”
“Never! I will not betray my king!” Elisha said. “Oh, don’t worry. You will.” James turned as he laughed a spine-chilling cackle. “See you around!” Elisha sighed as he sat back down. He knew that these coming days would be difficult, but he was reasonably sure he would...

... middle of paper ...!” James pulled the lever. Elisha felt a wave of pain so intense he fainted. He woke up later in the dungeon. James entered the room.
“So, it seems we will need to use an older method of torture. That is, unless you are ready to confess?” James laughed.
“Never! I’d die before I’d tell!” Elisha said, knowing that he well might die.
“Oh, is that the way it will be, then? I’m sure I could arrange for something even more painful than death, hmm?” James laughed again.
“You will never defeat the king! He will kill you!”
“Will he, now? If I know my brother, he is too weak to kill anyone. Especially not someone he once trusted.” Here an almost sad look crossed James’ face, but it quickly changed to anger. “I am not so stupid to believe in him any longer. We will crush him and I will kill you! But not until I get the information I need.”
“Well, you won’t get it from me.

Essay about Creative Writing in the Composition Classroom - Walking inside the typical composition class, one can expect to see the students crafting the five-paragraph essay or working on a persuasive piece as they try to argue they side of an in-class debate. Air Disaster- Creative Writing Essay - Air Disaster- Creative Writing The sight that greeted my eyes was haunting. There were dead bodies as far as the eye could see, but somehow nobody had a scratch on them. The plane was in pieces, scattered all around. As the waves rolled up the beach, more and more bodies were revealed. The sun was burning high in the sky and everyone was beginning to tire out. The cliffs towered down on us; the sand burnt our feet as we trod carefully between the corpses. It was a shock; we hadn’t expected to find anything there, but it appeared that almost everyone who had been on the plane was lying here, on the beach, with us....   [tags: Creative Writing Examples] 956 words

Creative Writing: Across the Sea Essay - We walked down into the bustling docks, stinking of long dead fish and seaweed. We walked past the decreped old fishing boats and their owners, all with rotting wooden lobster pots and old rope nets. The huge ship was moared in the harbour, its ancient gangplank rested lightly on the hole filled pier. Mr Cheese, our navigator, stood at the top polishing his peg leg, while Meet-Hook stood behind working on yet another wax painting. Otis and Carla ran up the gangplank and began to load the crates of sugar and cotten from the plantations into the hold....   [tags: Creative Writing Examples] 514 words

Essay on Creative Writing: The Assassin - He was lying there still and calm, oblivious to the rain pouring through the holes in the rusted roof. The warehouse was abandoned many years ago, the air was thick with dust making it difficult to breathe; the smell was like burnt toast. His vantage point gave him a perfect line of fire. A neglected road that was parallel to the decaying wasteland where homeless people built their makeshift homes lay between the Assassin, his targets hideout....   [tags: Creative Writing Essay] 494 words
