II. INTRODUCTION
A. Statement of Problem
The City of Florence is an excellent city, full of great people and many events to grow the community into a tight knit family. Through Florence Day fair rides, the community wide Easter Egg Hunt, sports programs, and the Flo-Town USA Splash Pad, there are many opportunities for the children of Florence. As is evidence in our mayor’s platform, “We have park employees, parents, and grandparents working hand in hand to make our park an even better place for the children of Florence to have good clean fun. We love our kids!” (CITE-florence.ms) Although there are many programs for young children and families, the city is lacking in activities for the middle school and high school aged teenagers. Teenagers are not even allowed to play community league sports because MHSAA does not allow more than five players on the same high school team to be listed on the roster for any community or club recreational or competitive team. When talking with Mrs. Pam Clark, Mayor of Florence, she voiced her concern in saying, “Myself, as the mayor, and the elected aldermen of Florence are really pushing toward more activities for the youth of Florence. We are willing to incorporate the activities that y’all plan to get the youth involved.”(Cite this-interview with Pam Clark) Being youth in our community, we are aware of the lack of activities available to allow youth to be involved. Many youth are aware of this problem and want it to be solved.
After finding a solution to this problem, the City must know how to market these activities. The mayor of Florence has expressed her concern, and is willing to incorporate more activities to prevent teen problems. She wants to be proactive by solving problems that may ...

(CITE THIS-http://mesabaoapp2.esri.com/BAO93out/output/reports/dandi_fy__138271392020200DA635D-543C-2680-1278-ABE644C3A4E5.pdf). From 2000 to 2010, the city grew +77.2%. When looking at our population, 90% of residents within city limits are white, 8% are black, and 2% are other races. The median resident age is 32, six years younger than the average age of Mississippians. These adults are the age that have school-aged children, showing how young our community is. Although this city is not extremely wealthy, it is average. Even the estimated median household income has increased dramatically. Teenagers make up much of the population of Florence. Although it seems like our city would have many resources for our youth because of how tight-knit of a community Florence is, we do not.
... look out for high profile contacts and good image building activities especially due to the on going outsourcing concern. As community theatre boards include executive level staff these consulting companies could get high visibility and a sophisticated image by pairing up with something as ?cultured? as theatre. These companies can be requested by the boards of community theaters to sponsor the building and maintenance of the theatre websites in exchange for good PR and contacts.
... Reestablishing community goals and encouraging youths to engage in extracurricular activities will greatly improve outlooks on life and help them make the right choices for a better tomorrow.
I believe young people must be seen as full-fledged citizens of our world. Youth empowerment, the act of bringing out natural talents and energies in youth, is effective. Youth should be provided the supports and opportunities that enable them to increase individual self-worth and skills and have significant impact on services to communities, states, and the nation. Youth should be active participants on decisions affecting their lives, including their living situations. Further, the involvement of young people in the planning and implementation of services and in mobilizing community support for programs that affect their lives, and those of their families, is essential to their individual development and the success of the programs working with
This research paper is brief information about my senior project topic “The affects public recreation and community centers have in communities”. The reasoning for this selection of this topic is because when I was younger every weekend and summer I would go over to my local community center to play basketball with other kids from the neighborhood. I chose recreation and community centers to research because I’m interested in the funds of these centers, the adults who take the time out of their lives to interact with these children, what these recreations and community centers have to offer for children and the community as a whole, their partnerships and there missions. I hope to accomplish with this project is to make sure that

There are a variety of youth programs that rely on volunteers, including sports leagues, field trips, special events, camps, and classes. Parks and recreation agencies should consider using volunteers for programs such as these, as volunteers can provide special skills, experiences, and connections, frees up staff time and resources, bring unique viewpoints, ideas, and feedback to the table, can help the agency extend its services, and offer a way for the community to get involved in the organization’s programming (Guide, 2011). Just as there are benefits to using volunteers in youth programs, there are also difficulties that arise. Recruiting suitable volunteers and letting go of unsuitable volunteers can be a tough and lengthy pr...

This article discusses a program that was created to develop urban youth. The program was established by the Minnesota 4-H youth developmental program in 2003. There was also a very descriptive explanation of what the word “urban” means and how individuals may misinterpret its meaning. The program was established to help minorities to develop skills to overcome economic, educational, and social barriers. Urban develop in today’s society has not been a huge focus, but reading this article illustrates that there are some individuals who still care about the development of youth.
Too often, a marketing function is misunderstood, because many people do not understand what is meant by ‘Marketing’.
To begin the mayor should first focus on the increase in juvenile related crimes, pinpointing the most extreme, to avoid the problems that those increases will create. Addressing the fact that there is a serious issue in the community will help everyone involved get a better understanding of the problem and how to solve it. Using community oriented policing he can get officers out to listen and pay attention to the people in the communities. Each neighborhood ...
What would this much needed facility provide for Smallville? The Bigtown Recreation Center is a great model for Smallville, housing several basketball courts, tennis courts, a weight room, and a swimming pool. The programs conducted at the center include athletic clinics in the summer, swimming, basketball, and tennis lessons, and even fitness training and aerobics. These are all activities nearly every citizen can enjoy. So, if Smallville had a similar recreation center it would benefit the young and old alike. However, our recreation center should provide programs specifically for children and teenagers. Aside from just providing athletic and sports recreation for the youth, we should also provide them with tutoring services, a game room and a lounge were they can just "hang out."
Negative media attention can cause a business or its products to go plummeting down within a very short amount of time and positive media attention can make an organization reach to its highest potential. Businesses need to be able to have some hand in controlling the media so that the media help promote the positive things about the company and decrease the impact of anything negative on their reputation. The television programs that consumers watch have a wide and more direct audience that would also have a very strong impact on the success of an company. A lot of organizations realize these factors and this will make them change their reaction when consumers tell them that they are going to contact a consumer television program or the newspapers about the company.
After studying the cosmetic market we can identify a series of needs in this market:
