Conditions for Profitability in Online Newspapers
Introduction
Today online newspapers are delivering a lot of assets into their news sites without gaining from them.
They have to discover methods to attain profit from them in order to support them. Recently there has been a switching from print to multimedia, i.e. news is only a component among other services at the news sites and is given as audio and video likewise[1]. Transformation to web brought more opportunities for newspapers, such as competing with broadcast media in presenting breaking news in a more well timed manner. The superiority and strong trade name perception of a validated newspapers, and the close relationships they keep with advertisers, are also realized by many in the newspaper business as strengthening their possibilities of survival. The movement away from the printing process can also aid to lessening the costs.

From the fig:1 it is clear that online news business enterprise is now entering to a more realistic state. The initial excitement is weakening, and the newspapers are seeking for methods to attain profit from their news sites; ie merging with internet. Many stakeholders in the newspaper industry are trying to reach issues about state-of-the-art business models which assist both to economic efficiency for their online newspaper ventures and to social efficiency[3]. A newspaper web site requires a large audience to attract as many ad impressions as possible. The key to web site income and earnings is total ad impressions, and the key to acquiring those impressions is increasing as much customers as possible. It is completely a volume business. Online advertisement revenue have far less adaptability than print rate cards because web sites have higher competition for online ad dollars.
