Some race fans would love to have an opportunity to be a part of a race team. If you receive a great opportunity to do a job you have been dreaming about, then you should take the opportunity. If you don’t take the opportunity that you received, then you don’t know if you will ever see that same opportunity. 22 year old Cody Higginbotham has been receiving many great opportunities since he was 12 years old.
Cody Higginbotham is an extreme race fan from Guntersville, Alabama. Cody has received many great opportunities over the last ten years. He got his first big break working on a message board (forum) for Jamie Mosley in 2003. “Jamie was driving a part time schedule in the #39 for Jay Robinson. He offered me an opportunity to work on a message board for him. I was only 12 years old at the time. I will admit that I was pretty nervous, but I was also excited about the great opportunity I received.” Cody received a second great opportunity to work with Venturini Motorsports in 2004. “Venturini Motorsports marketing/ PR Tom Venturini noticed me when Billy Venturini was still driving. He offered me an amazing opportunity to work on a message board (forum) for them at the end of 2004 until 2007.” Cody also worked on a message board (forum) for Brad Keselowski in 2005 - 2009, David Gilliland in 2006-2007, Burney Lamar in 2009, and JD Motorsports in 2008 - 2012. Cody received more amazing opportunities before and after he was finished working on message boards for race teams.
Cody started managing social media pages for race car drivers and race teams in 2009. “I worked on a social media page for Mario Gosselin in 2009 through 2010. At the end of 2010 through part of 2011, I worked on a social media page for 2nd Chance Motorspo...

This novel has made me acquire many predictions of the events that have occurred. One prediction I have is that Denny will have to end his racing career. Denny is a very experienced and successful racer. He would leave Eve and Zoe for weeks at a time to go on racing tours around the world. He had much success throughout his career, but I predict that his racing career will be cut short. He always knew his

As we pull into the racetrack I look around. There are a ton of trailers which means a ton of cars, which also means a ton of people. Aside from all the diversity we all love the same thing, racing. We all unite together, we are all there for the same reason and we all have the same goal. To win the Kyle Larson Outlaw Kart Showcase. One day, two Nascar drivers, three classes, over 225 cars. The biggest outlaw kart race in history to ever be held, and I’m apart of it. I can feel the tension of everyone around me, whispers of people talking about all their set-up ¨secrets¨
On behalf of my entire family, I want to thank all of you for your compassion and for being present here today. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Mauri-Lynne, and I'm Lionel's daughter. Race has many dimensions. People view race by associating traits to the physical appearance of others. In the graphic novel Incognegro, the main character, Zane Pinchback, is a Black person who is able to pass as a white person because of his skin color. As a reporter, he exposes the lynching and other horrendous acts that white people do to Black people in the south. When discussing his job, he explains his perspective on race. He says, “Race is a strategy. The rest is just people acting. Playing roles” (Johnson 19). Implicit in his words, race is a performance where visual cues represent the first layer. The other layers compose of the symbolic differences that various groups associate with the physical markers of people. In the story, most white people have a distorted view of Black people because they view Black people as inferior to them. Zane Pinchback demonstrates race is constructed by layering phenotypic differences people

Air temperatures exceeded seventy degrees in the air, with the average thermal energy on the Speedway course averaging 100 degrees. For the 500, I had installed a thermally activated cooling system into my racing suit and my McLaren-Renault. Paralyzed in a state of panic, Doug seeked the starting grid for George Robson’s Adams-Sparks #16, the first auto with one of Dr. Rocciola’s bombs. Ryan looked for Ted Horn’s Maserati #29, once driven by Speedway sovereign Wilbur Shaw and one of the cars on which Dr. Rocciola placed a bomb. Quin was the only member of my small four-man pit crew who saw one of the fuses, panicking after returning from Jimmy Jackson’s sixth-place starting place, Jackson’s blue #61 parked there. It was twelve years old, the war forcing his team to use a reserved car due to the metal, fuel, and rubber shortages. While I was in deep conversation with Mauri Rose, another future Speedway sovereign who drove car number eight in 1946, Ryan tried to keep his emotions in, his pulse extra high. He frantically announced, “There’s a bomb in the 61!” The Gasoline Alley administration had no time to
