Chapter 24: Before the Games

That was one hell of a cliffhanger last chapter, hopefully I can make this chapter just as good. I’ve lost my glasses while writing this, so I have to get all up on the screen and it’s kind of making it harder for me to type, plus I just started a really big project at school that’s going to be taking up ninety percent of my free time for the next month, so it might be a bit before the next chapter. This chapter is also going to be really short, because it’s right before that two year gap that’s in the game.

“Sane! What do you think you’re doing?”

Chrom stopped his blade a fraction of a second away from hitting my own.

“Get out of the way!”

I stood my ground and shook my head.

“No Chrom, I can’t let you do this.”

Gangrel was on the ground behind me, his arm no doubt shattered based on its angle and a trickle of blood leaking from his temple.

“Killing Gangrel at this point would be nothing short of murder, and you’re not that kind of man Chrom.”

“Murder? Sane, do you have any idea what you’re talking about? Do you know how much blood has been spilled by this madman?”

“No Chrom, I don’t know, but I do know this,”

I looked once again at Gangrel then back to Chrom.

“In every possible outcome I’ve seen, one thing remains the same: Gangrel dies. You might think that’s a good thing, but after Gangrel’s death, something even more evil takes his place.”

Chrom scoffed.

“More evil than him? I doubt that very much Sane.”

Chrom nudged my blade away with his.

“Stand aside Sane. I have to end this.”

I put my sword in its sheath and looked atg Chrom. I willed him to see everything the way I saw it, and to just listen to me.

“Look at him Chrom,” I said softly.

“He’s done. His arm is broken, from the looks of it he’ll most likely...

... middle of paper ...

...he night, drinks were passed around, songs were sang, Sully even pulled me to my feet and threw me around for a few minutes in what was some sort of war dance. When I finally was able to sneak away and crawl into my bed, my mind buzzed with thoughts.

‘I guess... Today was a pretty successful day huh?’

I rolled over and stretched.

‘No... I think successful is a bit of an understatement.’

Okay, so... Question time. Would you like me to totally BS maybe 3-6 chapters worth of events that will occur between now and two years when the story resumes with the Valmese war arc, or should I just skip right to that? Because I finally figured out who Sane is “romancing” and some other details about... I dunno, just general stuff and things that are going to be common knowledge in two years.

Of course, I might just put it anyway but I’d still like to know if you’d read it.
