Chakras; Gateway to the Soul, Gateway to Enlightenment
“The eloquent man is he who is no beautiful speaker, but who is inwardly and desperately drunk with a certain belief.” -- Ralph Waldo Emerson
Children pose silly questions. Whether the question be about where babies come from, or deeper ideas. Some questions many kids ask are “Where is the soul?” as well as “What is a soul?” Some people would say the chin is where the soul is located. Others would say the soul is located in the heart, yet even some believe the soul is broken into different parts through the body. I believe the last choice. These bits of the soul are known as “chakras”. According to Dictionary.com, “a chakra is any of the seven major energy centres in the body.” Some people prefer to believe that chakras are more of gateways to the soul, and the energy they produce is emanated from our soul. There are seven chakras. The idea of chakras was first recorded in India around 500 B.C . Chakras are also part of a religion known as New Age. Although chakras are part of this religion, many others still use the ideas of these chakras. I first learned about chakras through a wise friend of mine named Erin. I met her through my mother, and she introduced me to the world of spirituality. By following my heart and getting in tune with my chakras, I realized how beneficial doing that can be. Chakras are the building blocks of the soul, so we need to be aware of them, and to prove this, I will explain the four major chakras and the organs they relate to, elaborate on how taking care of our chakras can improve our life, and analyze how we can improve our connection to our chakras.
The four main chakras are the third eye, the heart, the throat, and the crown. The crown...

...as are a key part of our body is evident. They provide us with creativity and inspiration. Our chakras also keep the body motivated. When a child asks where the soul is, many answers may be thrown at him, but one that is hardly mentioned is the chakras. In my eyes, chakras are as much of a viable answer as saying that the soul is located anywhere else. Whether chakras are real, or whether they are a state of mind, there is one concrete fact, and that is the fact that they improve our lives. With the fact that chakras improve our lives, Buddha once said “To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one's family, to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one's own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him.” Chakras; gateway to the soul, gateway to enlightenment.
