Finding a career that is adequate for me in life can be a difficult challenge. Since I was a little my dream job was to continue the family business back home in Ohio. Many people choose their degrees because they do not know what they want. I am very sure that the degree that I have chosen is the right one for me, which is Business and Administration. I am now attending County Community College and I wish to end my Associate Degree here in two years. After I achieve my A.A. degree at County Community College, I want to transfer to University Of Central Florida to finish my Bachelors Degree. In this paper, I will discuss the overview of my selected four-year School, the university major requirements, the transfer preparations, the career I will pursue after graduation and the interview. University of Central Florida (UCF) is a public university located in Orlando. UCF currently offers 212-degree programs. UCF has an estimated of 51,269 undergraduates and it has roughly about 1,849 faculty members. In addition, UCF also offers housing that includes on campus residence for both men and women. UCF has five aspects that interest me to attend this school. The first aspect is that the university offers a good program for business seeking degree students. The second aspect is that the university offers programs in different locations in Orlando. The third aspect is that the university has a good athletics system, which has many activities for students to participate in. Another aspect is that the university offers housing for students. After completing the Focus 2 program I was offered the following summaries. I have a very strong self-assessment, likely because of my age and experience in the work force to date. My career exploration assessment scored in the middle which I think reflects that fact that I have worked in the same industry, doing the same job for the last twenty five years. I have not spent much time investigating new career paths up until last year. Lastly my career planning satisfaction score also come back in the middle indicating that I may be experiencing some problems with my career planning. I think this indication may have been a false reading. My academic strengths are mostly centered in the sciences. Business, engineering, and technology were all strongly mentioned. Areas that are not my strongest include traditional arts, performing arts, and languages/literature, although I excel in my native tongue. I have very little interest in most traditional arts, so this result is not very surprising.
My personal career goal is to do Information Technology (IT) and how I’m going to achieve that goal is by going to a community college to start off with and then go to a four year college. When I get my Bachler’s degree I will go further into my career into helping my job fix computers when they are broken down. The process of deciding to pursue a career as an IT was is an easy one, but that process has helped me define my career goal, be realistic about what I want, and plan thoughtfully about how to reach my goals.
“Money doesn’t grow on trees.” said almost every parent on Earth . Budgeting was going to be very hard, but this is how we learned to stay under a budget, we learned all about having a job, it surprised us all when we had to prepare and follow a budget, and it affected us in many ways. Once believing that our parents were just being plain mean, but now it could be fully understood by us. You would have thought after years of this quote being recited almost every week we would have caught on, but a history project taught it to me.
I completed the run… subsequently, that smile turned to concern as our Chief laid face down 200m away. Frantically, I sprinted, he was unresponsive, and already exhausted I performed CPR; EMS arrived and he was defibrillated, revived, and was responsive. As a physician assistant in the Army my only job is to provide medical care to soldiers. The impetus for pursuing a career as a physician came through family tragedy. My grandmother died of an abdominal hemorrhage after she was started on two blood thinners. It was then; I determined that medicine was ultimately the career for me, armed with an idea of helping other families avoid preventable tragedies.
Finding a more comprehensive source of career information than those from sponsored programs and agencies of the U.S. Department of Labor will become a tall task indeed.

Ever since civilization was capable of recording history, we were able to identify the type of job fields that existed throughout history. Not much has changed over the centuries; Ancient Greece consisted of farmers and fishermen just like we have today. According to the Bible, Jesus Christ was a carpenter by trade, he followed in the footsteps of his adoptive father. I believe a lot of people throughout history have aimed to follow the same line of work as their parents, because they respected their mother/father; parents have a big influence on our career choices. Unfortunately, many people eventually realized they earned their degrees/licenses in their chosen line of work without a meaningful purpose, other than to satisfy other's wishes. I believe some of us realize our dire career choices, because they lack vocation.
Education has always been a primary concern for my parents, who taught me that if I need to succeed in life, I have to be educated. Following their guide, I have always valued and tried to get the most of any educational opportunity I have had. Having grown up in a business family, I have always been interested in focusing my career in the business field. My Mother and Father own their own company, and they are constantly talking about business, which has inspired me to follow their path. When my parents retire, they want me to carry on their legacy. For this reason, I have decided to pursue my studies in the field of Business and Leadership at Marylhurst University. I want to pursue a well-rounded education at this established university where I also can have life experiences in the outside world, which will ultimately help me to become a successful leader in our family business.
