Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus ("Abortion"). Many people may believe that abortion is the right way to do things, but some may believe it is killing a human being. Statics shows that “234 abortions per 1,000 live births (according to the Centers for Disease Control) 1.2 million abortions per year, 3,288 abortions per day, 1,379 abortions per hour, and 4 abortions every minutes, and 1 abortion every 26 seconds.”(Abortion Facts) In this world people have many views on abortion. “14,000 abortions are done because of rape/incest. This only makes up about 1% of all abortions” (Agrestic). The fact is that most abortions are done because of the mother is not wanting children at the time. With this being debated abortion should not be a huge problem in the America. Abortion should only be allowed if the woman is raped and or if she has health problems.
There are many ways to have an abortion and it can or cannot cause serious problems. When the woman is in her first trimester the abortion is consider minor surgery. The older the woman is the higher risk the woman will have when she decides to has an abortion( Bair). There are several ways to have an abortion one of the methods are: Methotrexate & Misoprostol this is a medical technique that can only be used in the first seven weeks of pregnancy. This medication procedure is not as commonly used in the U.S., the next way is Mifepristone and Misoprostol or the abortion pill. This is a medical procedure that can only be used until the first seven to nine weeks of pregnancy. These are just some of the methods to have an abortion. Even though these are some of the ways there are many more...

There are many different types of abortions that can be performed. The type used depends on how far along in the pregnancy the woman is. In the very early stage of the pregnancy, up to 49 days after conception, the woman has two choices. The first is to take a combination of drugs. This is called a medical abortion.

Abortion is the termination of a human pregnancy that does not end in birth of a child. There are two types of abortion-medical abortion and surgical abortion. Medical abortion can be done before 49 days of pregnancy by using pharmaceutical drugs. Surgical abortion takes place by using surgical instruments between 6-14 weeks of pregnancy. Both methods are safe. It depends on the size of fetus and week of pregnancy. An abortion, which is the removal of a fetus from a woman’s body, should be allowed because of women’ s freedom, life opportunities and victim protection.
Each year there is 44 million abortions in the world. Abortion first happened in the 1800s in Western Europe, it has been around in every corner of the world for the past years. Abortion became a “thing” to prevent suffering of the mother and her future child. After the 1800’s that 's when many people began to think of abortion as cruel and inhumane. After making abortion legal in the United States it became one of the most controversial issues ever. Due to abortion being one of the most controversial topics ever it has caused disagreements with the pro-life and pro-choice supporters. Pro Life means that you are against abortion while pro choice means that you agree with abortion. Abortion is the terminating of a pregnancy by removing a fetus
Abortion has been a huge issue in the United States ever since Roe v. Wade. Roe v. Wade was a supreme court case that allowed women to have an abortion because it was a woman 's right to her own privacy. After this supreme court case, they made restriction on abortion. According to Abortion Procedures During First, Second and Third Trimester (2016) , in some states women can’t have an abortion after her third trimester or when the baby can survive outside the womb. Even though we have restrictions towards abortion the amount of babies aborted are very high. According to Jones and Kooistra (2011), in the United States twenty-three out of one hundred pregnant women choose to have an abortion rather than to keep the baby. Abortions have become more and more common. We have become insensitive toward abortion and
Abortion is very cruel to the baby and even harms the mother. It is murder! There are many different procedures for abortions, all gruesome and pain inflicting on the baby. Suction Aspiration (vacuum curettage) makes up for 98% of first trimester abortions. The cervix is first dilated. Then a suction tube with a sharp cutting edge is inserted which rips the baby to pieces. It then sucks out all the remains.
Abortion by definition means the way of ending pregnancy by removing fetus from the womb before it is able to survive independently. Abortion is an extremely debatable issue because while some people are completely against it, others believe that a woman should have the right to choose. Abortion decision is like killing own child or killing an innocent human life before coming out from uterus. I will explain how a human life is being destroyed, the process in which they destroy the fetus, and how to avoid this situation all together I believe that abortion is morally impermissible.
For years, abortion has been an extremely controversial subject. One important aspect of the controversy is whether a woman should be permitted by law to have an abortion and under what circumstances. Another is whether laws should protect the unborn. History has shown that whenever abortion had been prohibited, women still attempted and succeeded in obtaining illegal abortions. Unfortunately, they have suffered serious health reasons or died in the process.
Abortion is unlike any other subject debated today; millions of women have aborted a child, and the loss, pain, and emotional need to justify what was done, both on the part of the mother and on the part of her loved ones. Abortion is a gut-wrenching debate that has been going on for centuries, and does not plan to cool off anytime soon. The Supreme Court case in 1973, Roe vs. Wade, placed abortion on the map for the United States. The result of the Roe vs. Wade case legalized abortion to protect women’s health, however the good intentions of the ruling opened the doors for people to take advantage of the case outcome. Approximately 1.06 million abortions took place in the United States in 2011, which goes to show that women maybe abusing the privilege of the rules set in place to protect their health and practicing abortion as a form of contraception. Abortion is not only a dangerous procedure for women to endure, however it is also unethical to abort a child. Abortion is immoral because life begins at conception, people need to live with the consequences and not take the easy way out, and there are other available options.
Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy by destruction of a fertilized egg, embryo or fetus before birth, prior to the time when the fetus attains viability, or capacity for life outside the uterus (Encyclopedia, 1995, p.43). Currently almost twenty-five percent of pregnancies in the United States are aborted. About one forth of people who abort are teenagers, fifty-seven percent are younger than 25, and almost eighty percent are unmarried. During the first trimester is when most of the abortions take place. Only about ten percent are performed later in the pregnancy (Slife, 1998, p.329). Abortions go back as far as Ancient Greece where it was used as a type of population control. Then in the Roman Times men had total control over the procedure. “Man could give law-enforced command that his wife have an abortion, or he could punish or divorce his wife for having one without his consent” (Encyclopedia, 1995, p.43).
The procedure causes health complications for the mother, inflicts pain on a living fetus, and kills the unborn baby. Late-term abortion induces innumerable physical health complications to the patient, including severe infections, extreme bleeding, and damage to the uterus. In addition, one analysis, in relation to abortion problems, states, “from 1988 to 1997 found the risk of death increased by 38% for each additional week of gestation, during the pregnancy.” (Jones).
Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy by the removal or expulsion of a fetus or embryo from the uterus before viability (dictionary.com). Those who disagree with abortion think that this is not right, mid evil and a form of murder. All of those thoughts are correct; abortion is the act of removing a fetus from the protection of the mother’s uterus. However, is it not the duty of the mother to protect her unborn child? In this day in age, we are still allowing this barbaric method of ending a pregnancy to happen despite the many alternatives. If an unexpected pregnancy should occur, abortion should not the only option. There are many reasons why abortion should not be illegal in all parts of the world, and people need to know the options available. Adoption is certainly a strong option in a world wanting for children. Abortion is not a method of birth control and people need to be educated on pregnancy prevention and take on some responsibilities.
Abortion has been one of the most talked about topics in society just about anywhere from television, magazines, whether or not it should be the right or wrong thing to do. Abortion is a very sensitive issue to discuss, because of its nature. Many people have said that abortion is a very bad thing to do and it should not even be choice whether or not to abort a living fetus. People think that abortion is committing murder as it is killing the human fetus. However, others feel that a woman should have a voice and have the right to choose to keep the child or not and that it is not murder until the baby is born. Majority of individuals who believe that abortion is bad say that the fetus is human who is partly being formed and to have an abortion is considered to be murder. For the people who think an abortion is ok, say that it’s not considered murder unless the child is born. I believe that abortion should be seen in which the stage the fetus is in. if the fetus is in an early stage of pregnancy it is not considered murder, but if the fetus has already began to develop into a larger fetus then it is indeed considered to be murder. There are times when abortion can be accepted, if the mother is having complications due to pregnancy. For example if the mother is enduring complications in her pregnancy that can harm her, because of the child in that case it is ok to perform an abortion to help save the mother’s life. It is also very important to understand this type of situation. The mother has the right to have an abortion and it is her decision because a mother knows best about her health conditions.
In the worst case, abortion is a risk to the life of the mother. Abortion can decline the physical health of women. It could impact on females’ health even in the process of abortion. A common example is hemorrhage, which is defined as blood loss during abortion. It is caused by depression, hemophilia (unfrozen blood), or cervical laceration (Kerns, 2012). According to Mesce and Clifton (2011), based on statistics of World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 50% of the abortions performed each year are unsafe abortions, which mean abortion is performed in insecure and life-threatening conditions. Grimes et al. (2006) also support more specific details that the proportion of unsafe abortions has been reported mostly in developing countries, where 98% of abortion-related deaths occur worldwide. Oddly, in their research, abortion is highly restricted by law in these countries, even when it is safely and legally permitted, it is still not easily accessible. However, due to the strictly regulated law, it is almost impossible for women to receive safe abortions, forcing them to choose unsafe methods. Some women have to have self-induce abortions; others have clandestine abortions from medical practitioners, paramedical workers, or even traditional healers. Industrialized nations, on the other hand, has emerged as one of the safest procedures in contemporary medical practice, with minimum morbidity and a negligible risk of death (Grimes et al., 2006). Beside, Mesce and Clifton (2011) point out there are 20% of infertility treatment had a history of abortion. Infertility is often caused by infection after abortion, potentially leading to blockage of the fallopian tube. Abortion also may induce ectopic pregnancy. In the worst case, these risky techniques can even affect the mother’s life. In fact, according to their study, there are about 47,000 deaths in young girls and women due to unsafe
Abortions have always been a very controversial topic. Over the years we continue to fight for or against it. One can say that is one of the most talked and argued topic in the United States. An abortion is when a woman terminates her pregnancy before the fetus is viable using various of methods. Some argue that abortions should be illegal and considered murder, while others, from a religious point of view, say that no one has the right to take away the life of a person, in this case the fetus. However, others insist, that abortions are a basic women’s right.
