Richard Milhous Nixon, a US President, resigned from office. Richard Nixon went through a lot of hard troubles to get to presidency to have to resign before he could finish his second term, even though he did some great deeds as president. Nixon despite his mistakes, made a great impact on the United States.
Nixon’s childhood wasn’t the childhood one dreams of having. Nixon was born on January 9, 1913 on a lemon ranch in Yorba Linda, California. His parents were not wealthy which meant Nixon had to work even harder to be successful (“Nixon”). Nixon was a great help in his family by helping in family gas station/grocery store. Nixon, the hard worker he was, enrolled at Whittier College in 1930. Nixon was very involved at his school by participating in student government, drama, and football (“Biography of Richard Nixon”)
Finishing second in his class at Whittier College, Nixon was offered a scholarship to Duke law School. There he participated in law review as an active member. He later graduated in June of 1937. Nixon later went back to Whittier College to join the Wingert and Bewley law firm. There at the law firm he met his soon to be wife, Thelma Catherine whom at the time was a schoolteacher and in a community play Nixon was also in. Nixon talked with Ryan for quite some time until they were married on June 21, 1940 in California. They went on a honeymoon to Mexico (“Biography of Richard Nixon”).
Nixon moved to D.C. in January of 1942 because he wanted to join the office of Price Administration. Soon after getting the job he left to enter the navy on August 17, 1942. He was assigned to a station in Ottumwa, Iowa. He requested to be transferred to South Pacific Theater and was soon transferred there. While...

...n but he disappointed many people by the whole Watergate issues. Nixon worked very hard to get to presidency but then blew it by cheating his own government by creating his own private fund. Nixon resigned from presidency so he wouldn’t be impeached and died on April 22, 1994. Nixon despite his mistakes, made a great impact on the United States.
