II believe that the author is attempting to reveal the depth and breadth of recorded history from the first event ever recorded to the present, and from the oral traditions to the documented present using the latest media available in order to preserve the current events for our children.

Since honesty is no longer valued as a method which involves freedom from deceit or fraud, we no longer have a reliable measuring stick for determining the worth or truth of a discovery, or observation with regard to history being recorded. Earliest historical records indicate the desire of man to preserve a narrative of events for someone else to read, learn from or understand later on. We do not know their intent or the audience it was intended for as we do today. Therefore, when we examine the writings, or written oral folklore passed down through the ages, we are ill equipped to determine the honesty it presents unless we are able to compare the writings with other known sources and then determine whether it is true or not. Even today, we are biased in our review of facts related to events when we write our journals, articles, letters, songs and tidbits of life that we intend to leave for our descendents. Laws and legal matters that were recorded by the ancient authors are not questioned, but, the tale of a battle or a moral view is dissected and torn apart to its smallest meaning in order to make it acceptable or to be discarded because it can’t be reconciled to their worldview.

We are aware that man, created in the image of God, desires to leave some memory of his accomplishments, for his descendents to know regarding specific events and thoughts. This process also contributed to the building of cultures as the need for social suppo...

The Holy Spirit inspired writings of the Word of God is laid out with all its beauty and ugliness side by side. Therefore, whether history is going to remain untouched as recorded or re-written in such a way as to promote the false truth of post modern thinkers and ideological groups remains to be seen. What these individuals don’t see and don’t know is that God is ever at work directing the events and timings of the actions of man and nothing they say, do or think will alter that and while they may win a battle once in a while and cause a lot of people to be misled, ultimately the God of the bible will prevail and continue to work in His chosen people to bring about the events which will culminate in the return of Christ and the end of the world as we know it.
