Coming to MTI was probably the best decision I had ever made, which totally changed my life around. Coming to MTI has given a new direction to my life. MTI has had a big influence on my life because ever since I was four years old, I have always said that I wanted to be a lawyer. At first I had thought it was just a phase that I was going through as a child but as I grew older, and wiser, I kept on thinking about it. I could never imagine myself in another position, or another field other than being a lawyer. It has been a life long dream of mine to become a lawyer. And that is why I am here at MTI, to begin my career as a lawyer. When I first started researching about what colleges were around in my area and what they offered, I found many …show more content…
The reason I couldn’t get myself to like the Criminal Justice programs were because I knew inside that I would be wasting my time in doing that and it would not get me very far in my pursuit for my career. Getting enrolled for the Program was a good start for me. I was fresh out of High school, without anything except for my High School Diploma. I knew I wanted to go to Law School, but the two big law schools around Sacramento where, Lincoln Law School, and McGeorge Pacific School of Law. Both had different requirements to get into their law program. Lincoln Law School required that you have some sort of degree in the legal field. They were still pretty flexible. But McGeorge required that you have at least a Bachelors degree. And I had neither. MTI’s Paralegal program is provided me with the stepping stone that I was looking for to get into law school. I will not be able to make it to McGeorge but I will make it to Lincoln Law School. This Paralegal degree will enable me to fulfill my dream of becoming a lawyer. This is the only program that is BA approved, which is a very big help. Also I like being in MTI. It has been one of the happiest places of my life where I have met friends and teachers who are always willing to help, and motivate us in the right …show more content…
In my culture it is not normal to see a girl go into such a strong and demanding position and field. Also as being a girl, I was taught from a very young age that one day I will have to leave my home and go to my husband’s home, and from that day forward my husband’s home will be my home. And what my husband and his family wish for me will be my future. But since the times are changing so are the values and restrictions on girls. But I still know that one day I will have to get married and start a family. This also had a very big influence on my decision to join MTI. Because once I do start my family and get married, there might be a time where I will not be able to work as a lawyer because I just won’t have that much time. I will have to devote time to my husband my children and my family because that is my first responsibility. But in today’s growing expense one person cannot run a family. If ever that time comes in my life where I will be required to work for my family, I will have my paralegal degree, which will enable me to at least get a job that can keep my family comfortable, and MTI provides lifetime job placement. So I always know that I do have someone to help me if I am ever stuck in
Throughout modern civilization, the American republic is widely known for its dependency upon the realm of business. Equally as vital, looms the ever-present hand of the American law system. “All beings have their laws: the Deity…man his laws” (Montesquieu,1), this statement serves true in founding that law is consistently a necessary portion in society because all society desires law. As a consequence of the continual presence of law, careers aimed to interpret the crevices of laws, and to defend them, are synonymously as necessary in society. Absolutely, the gain of America’s economy is a direct reflection of the lawyers who protect them. Lawyers are a necessity to the nation; serving their purpose as defenders of the law. The system of corporate law is undoubtedly the cornerstone of corporate finance, and as citizens begin to thrive more immensely in a capitalistic nation, legal representation will be the trailblazer to the continuation of the American system of corporations. As I embark upon the journey of excellence into the world of corporate law, I endeavor to change the way business is defended, upheld, and represented.
The decision to enroll in graduate school came after considerable time and soul searching. While contemplating the decision to return to school I thought about life, school and work. I realized that my experience in these areas have prepared me for the challenge and I am going to succeed.

This is the very first time when I felt satisfied in counseling people. Being a social worker is like sowing a seed of doubt in my mind.

I began hallucinating early Thursday morning. My team and I were halfway finished with what our instructors dubbed "The Long Paddle," and I could feel my sanity slowly slipping away. A combination of severe sleep deprivation and extreme physical exercise can do that to you. I had not had more than three hours of sleep since "Hellweek" had begun on Sunday afternoon. As I looked around me, I contemplated the extent of my delirium. I was reasonably certain that the Statue of Liberty does not belong in San Diego, and I doubted that the tigers I could see racing along the river shore were real. My ears picked up the sound of our boat's leader having a heated argument with Jenkins, but Jenkins had quit the team two weeks ago.
Some call me argumentative- I prefer the term dialectical. It is true, I enjoy debates more than the average person. Nothing compares to the thrill of triumphantly dispelling an opponent’s case and swaying an audience to my side. On top of that, I have a sincere appreciation and talent for writing, reading comprehension, and grammar. With these attributes, I feel destined for a career in law. Yet, it is more than just my personal tastes that have led to my interest in legal services. Growing up with a disorder, I have developed empathy for people with disabilities and a desire to help them by advocating for their rights. As a lawyer, I hope to take action to make the world a better place to live in for people with conditions similar- and maybe not so similar- to mine.
When I first entered college I was an undecided new student who wasn’t exactly sure how I wanted my life to go. Once I started taking a couple of classes in the business, Marketing and social work fields I knew right away what my calling was. Just having that first intro to social work class my attention was hooked. I loved the classes and the experneices I learned about. I realized that my direction of college and a degree was to be accomplished in the social work setting. Being able to help those in need in Micro and Macro setting. Moving forward in the social work degree I soon realized that I was fully comminted to this major, knowing that one day I could help those people and children in the worl warmed my heart. My sophomore and senior

I want to become a lawyer because I’ve always been interested in the occupation and I want to help people. To be more specific I want to be a prosecutor. I used to watch shows such as Criminal Minds and Law and Order and I also watched the news. While watching the news, I began to think that not all criminals are getting caught, and they are starting to do more and more things to damage the world. I can’t stand thinking that people are doing horrible things and thinking its okay. I want to be able to put those people in prison where they belong.
