The golden ball is an award given every year to the best football player of the moment. It is defined depending on the quality in the footballers' technic, the statistics and results of a natural year. Every year, FIFA chooses 23 candidates to win the golden ball which are supposed to be the best ones of the whole planet. According to "FIFA" These will both be reduced to 3 players for each award, being announced at a later stage. From the final shortlists, journalists, national coaches and captains will vote for the winner of the FIFA Ballon d’Or. ("FIFA Ballon d'Or 2013," 2013)
After the votes are defined, FIFA summons the three finalists to the event of the golden ball, where the best footballers, teams, coaches and journalists assist to receive their major awards. This year, the 23 candidates were defined but the 3 favorite nominees are already chosen by everyone, the best 3 footballers in the planet. The all-nations voting period will be closed until the 29th of November, so every voter will have more time to decide who is the best player and who will win, in their opinion, the golden ball of 2013. The 23 nominees include important names like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Arjen Robben, Radamel Falcao, Andres Iniesta and other players, in their majority belonging to Bayern FC, but the 3 nominees that highlight in this edition are the argentine Lionel Messi, the french Frank Ribery and the portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo.
Written by "FIFA" The winners of all of the awards will be revealed at the FIFA Ballon d’Or gala as part of a televised show at the Zurich Kongresshaus on 13 January 2014. ("FIFA Ballon d'Or 2013," 2013)

Soccer was globalized when the FIFA World Cup was established in 1928. Being the single most watched sporting event in the world, the World Cup is a way to bring the world together in a delightful way. According to FIFA’s website, “It fulfills FIFA’s objectives to touch the world, develop the game, and build a better future through a variety of ways.” They also mention, “As of mid-2007, FIFA has grown to include 208 member associations, thus making it one of the biggest and certainly the most popular sports federation in the world” (“FIFA World Cup”). The World Cup has been held every four years since the inaugural tournament in 1930, except in 1942 and 1946 when WWII stopped it from being held (“FIFA World Cup”). Countries compete against each other in these tournaments in a process of elimination until one country comes out on top and is titled champion.
...t success through opportunities and hard work. Having the fortitude to seize all the opportunities at hand and the resolve to work hard, even early on in life, through his medical problems, Lionel Messi has been able to outshine all others and make a name for himself as one of the best to ever play the game of football.
Gender equality is a vast issue even in sports today, especially women’s soccer. Women’s soccer has been overlooked and pushed aside by many people around the globe. Each year, fewer and fewer people enjoy the sport of soccer and it is having an impact on both genders, but more so on females. The decrease in people appreciating women’s soccer has led to many problems for the female players. Women soccer players should receive the same field conditions as men, play in better stadiums, and receive a better pay.

Ronaldo had turned heads with a mesmerizing performance with Portugal against Manchester, wowing even his opponents with his footwork and deft skill. He made such an impression that a number of United players asked their manager to try and sign the young player, which the team soon did. Ronaldo did not disappoint the soccer world. He showed his promise early on in the 2004 FA Cup final, scoring the team's first three goals and helping them capture the championship. In 2007, Ronaldo signed a five-year, £31 million contract. A year later, Ronaldo again justified his high salary when he put together one of the club's finest seasons in history, setting a franchise record for goals scored (42), and earning himself the FIFA World Player of the Year honor for 2008. In all, Ronaldo helped steer Manchester United to three premier league titles. Now Ronaldo was very
This concludes my essay on Pelé. I hope I’ve informed you about the details of his life, why he was important, and the details about him, which also made him so great.
Throught the years there have been amazing players come and go for Fc Barcelona. For Example Ronald Koeman who was a fantastic defender and one of the best penalty takers. Or attacking midfielder Victor Borba Ferreira who had incredible dribbling skills. Ronaldo de Assis Moreira who is also known as Ronaldinho was especially an inspiring player who brought a lot of talent to the table. All these players contributed so much to Fc Barcelona but there is one player that drastically changed everything for Fc barcelona the day he joined.

But, has also had some upsets that were overcome by the young superstar and also overcame his disorder to reach his goal of being a professional soccer player. In addition, all his hard work have paid off because he won some of the most prestigious award that a soccer player can get at this level, like the Golden Ball. And that can say that he is the “FIFA World Player”, of the seasons 2008 and 2009, because all the people decided that he decided, such as thing like that.
