When choosing a “famous” person on which to do my research proposal on I decided on one of my favorite presidents in my time. George W. Bush seemed to be the most “real” president we have had in office since the 90’s. Next, I chose Adler’s theory to apply to Bush do to the fact that is the theorist that most closely applied to Bush’s life.
Let ‘s start with some back ground about George W. Bush and then apply Adler’s theory. George W Bush was born on July 6, 1946. He was born in New Haven Connecticut where his father was attending Yale University. George’s father had served in World War II as a Navy pilot ; he was using his GI bill like many other veterans to get back into the flow of civilian life. (Wade, 1999) After his father graduated from Yale he moved his family to Texas and joined the oil business. George is the oldest of six kids. The six includes his sister Robin from leukemia when George was just seven. (Wade, 1999) In high school George W Bush attended Phillips Academy , a boarding school in Massachusetts. George’s father had attended the same high school. Onward he went to attend the same University that his father attended. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Yale University in 1968 . (Wade, 1999) After college George joined the Texas Air National Guard. He want to fly planes like his father did. He spent a year in training were he learned to fly F-102 fighter planes. (Wade, 1999) A few years later he decided to go back to school for his master’s degree in business administration. After finishing his master’s in 1975 he took a job in Midland, Texas to take part in the oil business. George was married to Laura Welch on November 5, 1977. In 1978 he followed in his father’s foot steps once again and joine...

...s likely to succeed so if you paint a goal for yourself you are more likely. Assuming George W. Bush painted his goal to be President someday. He started at the bottom by running for senate and losing in a two man race. If George W Bush stopped his political career just because he lost his first race we never would have had him as our 43rd President. (Wade, 1999)
All and all George W. Bush came out as a first born overachiever like Adler predicted. He grew up in a strong household with a loving family. Honestly George W. Bush grew up in the “perfect” all American family situation.(or at least from what they sell in books).

On November 2, 2004, President George W. Bush was nominated and elected for his second and final term of presidency. Throughout the course of his term, a vast amount of controversy revolved around the actions of President Bush. Some of the main matters that were significant during his first presidency were the issues of abortion, pro-choice versus pro-life, and AIDS, which led to a fluctuation in his popularity with the masses. However, even with these issues, the unforgettable tragedy of September 11, 2001, and the start of the Iraq War, Bush was reelected to President of the United States despite everything he had going against him.

This course has taught me a lot about the different personality theories as well as the best known psychology theorists that have developed these theories. Personality consists of the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that make an individual unique. Numerous theories have been emerged to implicit the different features of personality. The main purpose of some theories is to focus on explaining how personality developed.

He then went to The Kinkaid School a Houston prep school for two years. 43rd President of the United States, George Bush, in his speech, “9/11 Address to the Nation” addresses the nation about the day of September 11, 2001. Bush’s purpose is to convey the events of September 11, 2001 and what was and will be done about them. Bush was one of the good presidents of the twenty first century. President Bush will be remembered because of his established works in office. In 2000, the electoral votes caused President Bush’s victory in the election. Florida’s votes put Bush 271 , one more than the required limit. George W. Bush on stage in Charleston on February 15, exuding that old “aw-shucks” charm, as he told corny jokes and wisecracks about his supposed lack of intelligence, was to recall the Presidential standup act that disappeared so suddenly, back to texas, almost as if his eight years in the white house had never existed. Some say President Bush and his wife Laura has a great personality, Unfortunately President Bush’s Character was questioned by a third of the Republican Americans some called him “poor or a liar”. Many accused him of drunk driving and lying to get funds for the war. Many doubted president bush as a president. They accused him of lying about his integrity and his childhood life. Some Called him “ The prodigal child” because he grew up rich with powerful parents, George Bush was accused of many things but he never let these accusations get to him. That was just one of many trials President Bush experienced during his time in office.
An Adlerian is any person who applies the ideals and principles of Alfred Adler into their work; this does not restrict to just psychologists or counsellors, but instead applies to several occupations such as teachers or doctors. I’m an Adlerian because studying at Adler School of Professional Psychology I can rest assured knowing that once my degree is complete I will have a deep understanding of bringing together Adlerian principles into my counselling profession. Adlerian principles according to NASAP's (2004) newsletter “Adlerian Psychology-Theory of Human Behavior” can divide into different components: lifestyle, social embeddedness, phenomenology, teleology, creativity uniqueness, inferiority feelings, striving for superiority, vertical and level striving, and holism entrenched within all these components. As one notices, Adler had various principles and ideals, therefore if I was to pick just one that I hold dearly, it would be difficult to choose. Yet, in this paper, I will narrow my focus on addressing a few special components that are dear to me and finally select one that is most meaningful. I hope to use this as a base representation of the ideals I will apply in my work as an Adlerian practitioner.
Many psychologists throughout many years present theoretical approaches in an attempt to understand personality. Hans Eysenck’s approach of personality differed from that of Sigmund Freud and his psychoanalytical theory of personality. Eysenck’s theory of personality relies on the scientific basis of biology in explaining human personality. Although Freud’s theories are intriguing to an open mind, Eysenck’s approach made measurable scientific sense. He relied on the use of trait and factor analysis, which is a statistical method. Freud relied on faith and his personal opinions based on observational research to reach the assumptions that set forth his theories (Feist & Feist, 2009). Eysenck and Freud did not agree on anything about understanding how and why the mind operates the way, it does.

There are many people in this world; no two people are the same. When considering personality theories it is important to note that not all theories apply to all situations or all people. Different theories have different approaches. It is important to know the person before making assumptions about the proper theory to apply to the person or in any given situation. The purpose of this paper is to analysis how different personality theorists could interoperate different individual circumstances and behaviors based on case examples provided by the instructor.

Adler’s theory holds that conscious aspects of behavior are central to the development of personality. A major tenet of the theory is that individuals strive to become successful, the best that they can be. This theory places a lot of emphasis on the birth order. It is believed that birth order is not just the simple biological ordinal position; born first, second, third. To the contrary it is a second system of birth order of youngest child, oldest child, middle child, determining an individual’s psychological position. He believed
