One of the happiest moments in my life was when I cleared my engineering entrance test, and got an admit at PES Institute of technology for Bachelor’s in Mechanical. Having been part of this institution has given me a strong foundation in Core Mechanical subjects such as Dynamics and Kinematics of Machines, Solid and Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Manufacturing Sciences and Vibrations.
It was my dream to be a mechanical engineer since the time I experimented with a Simple Pendulum in my high school Physics lab. I was closely acquainted with many subjects, but there are only few which really captivated me. It was during third semester when I learnt that I will be studying fluid mechanics as a core subject, which will be taught by Mr. Padmashree Dr. T S Prahlad, Chair professor in fluid mechanics. His way of teaching fluid mechanics enticed me so much and fostered in me a flair for the subject. I thoroughly enjoyed his lectures from the first to the very last day.
I have streamlined my studies more towards subjects based on the fluid mechanics, which was influential on taking Hydraulics and pneumatic. I preferred Principles of Flight & Jet and Rocket propulsion taught by Mr. Padmashree Dr. T S Prahlad for my electives, which had major application of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. With persistent Endeavour and dedication, I have excelled in these subjects. I also taught some basic principles of thermodynamics and hydraulics to high school students back at my home town during the summer break. This actually gave me a deeper insight into the subject and a better understanding. It was then that I decided to do a project work based on the application of fluid mechanics.
During my course from first to sixth semesters, I undertook ...

Possessing the basic knowledge in the field of physical sciences and the intuition in them made me to pick up Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as my majors for the Higher Secondary Education. After the completion of my secondary education, I felt that engineering was the only field which can transform and transfer my dreams in the field of sciences into a real one and also it would give me an opportunity to learn and explore how the fundamentals of science are appl...
The aircraft had become my dream machine since the first day I started working on it. I choose to become an aerospace engineer as I felt that the airplane can give wings to my dream of flying in air. I was recruited by a company called Infosys Limited after completing my under graduation majoring in Mechanical (Production) Engineering. My passion to understand aircraft design has motivated me to work on design of various fuselage components during the course of my career. I was always interested to know about how various components are sized and the math behind arriving at a particular cross-section, thickness etc. As a design engineer my responsibilities include design of components based on stress analysis data, which is limited. I believe that a design engineer should have the knowledge of both stress analysis and design, which will help in understanding various loads acting on the components and design them better. Graduate studies have always been my priorities and I felt working in this industry will be the right preparation for this field. Thus I wish to pursue graduate studies in Aerospace Engineering at your esteemed university with a specialization in structure and materials, adding value to my work experience.
Banking on an excellent academic record coupled with a keen interest in the ever-growing field of science and technology motivated me to take up engineering. In school, I consistently secured one of the top positions of the class. I have always been attracted towards subjects that draw upon one's analytical abilities. Thus, Mathematics and Physics were my favorite subjects and I secured 89% marks in my 12th class. I am among the top 3 percent in Engineering entrance test to UG schools out of two and half lakh students and I could get into the top ranked college of the state and one of the most reputed universities in the country, K L Uni...
While I was in high school, not only was I an active volunteer in several activities such as food drives and helping those in need, in addition to community work, but also I became invested in engineering sciences due to my perceptions regarding the importance of electrical engineering to an emerging industrial country such as mine. Therefore, as I was to graduate soon, I decided to specialize in this science as a student and future professional. Fortunately, through my undergraduate studies, not only did I found the science to be highly intriguing and vast giving way access to endless disciplines, but I have also found that it is very much correlated to numerous other sciences. This observation prompted me to further delve in my studies to become one day a well-informed engineer.
Competitiveness in mechanical engineering is something that can benefit everyone and help drive our economy. The research I have done definitely taught me some new things about how the business and economy tie into my field choice, mechanical engineering. Combining two of my interests and learning how they complement each other and work together was a great learning experience. D. S. Katerinich’s 2014 article “Innovative Approaches to Increasing the Competitiveness of Production in Mechanical Engineering” brought up many interesting points I might not have considered as possible ways to increase competitiveness in mechanical engineering. It was also really interesting to see how the Republic of Belarus has done to increase their competitiveness of production in mechanical engineering and comparing that to what we could do here in the United States. For the betterment of society and the positive effect on our economy, may competition in the business world and the mechanical engineering world continue to increase and produce new solutions and products that solve real world
One of the memories of my childhood I deeply cherish is that of my first visit to my father's small scale factory.Exploring the machinery which made my goal more easier and my dad sharing his experiences about the working of machines made me to grew up grossing my interest towards them. That was the time i chose to get into the field of mechanical. As a child, I was always intrigued by the working of complex mechanisms and equipment. I used to spend a lot of time trying to explore and figure out their principle. In school
I have spent so much time learning about design through the paradigm of materials but now I want to connect mechanical aspects to the knowledge I have already gained. I am particularly interested in the research done by Dr. Drew Nelson, Dr. Sheri Sheppard and Dr. Friedrich Prinz whose work most closely fits my interests.
