Recommended: The ethics of animal rights

Imagine being a rabbit; a vertebrate and warm blooded species. Hopping around an open field and eating all greens. All of sudden, you were captured by an unknown human. You start to rattle around your cage figuring out how to escape. About “twenty-five million and 30 million” animals are exploited in experiments; “half are only used through education” (Donna 7).

“A 40% is applied in basic research, the 26% for drug development, a 20% are examined for products, and the 14% that is left is applied on education and miscellaneous” (Donna 5).

The inhumane cruelty affects the innocent creatures. Animals should only be used for education, and research purposes. Therefore, regulations must increase on animal protection.

Increasing policies will expand the protection of nature. In the Health and Human Resources states the FD&C Act does not specify in exploiting living things. For that reason, companies rely on animals without law stopping their actions. Depending on organisms determines whether it would affect the human health or environment. “Before distributing the product or whatever the item is, advises companies to analyze the merchandise” (Health and Human Resources 1). It does not strictly say to use animals as experiments but, the corporations apply artifacts on living things. Hence, of not stating the use of animals the Health and Human Resources ought to specifically form not to depend on animals.

Further more; “the first amendment was processed on the twenty-fourth of December year 1970” (Donna 20). The amendment did not protect all species. It excluded farm animals, birds, rodents, and cold blooded living organisms. The only creatures that were protected by this amendment were warm blooded only. Indeed only guinea pigs, c...
