My respondent was my best friend’s father, Andre Cukovic and he is 60 years old. He was born in the communist country of Yugoslavia (present day Albania) in 1949.
Physically in his 20’s, Andre was a perfectly fit, muscular young man and was in great shape. He had a sort of “model type” body and long curly hair. During his 30’s, he was still a well built man. He cut his long curly hair and did some modeling in Australia. When Andre reaches his 40’s, he claimed that he still felt like he was 20. He was very active and always up and about. At about the age of 50, Andre described himself as no longer as strong as he was when he was young but was still capable of working and still had a strong immune system.
Socially throughout the age of his 20’s, Andre explained that he had lots of friends and he was a very outgoing person. He stated that he met tourists from all over the world. In his 30’s, Andre traveled from Europe to Australia and he was still very popular for his personality. In his 40’s, he moved to the U.S. and started his own company of painting and decorating and eventually...
When he went with his brother to France he performed with an avant-garde musical theater group known as Le Grand Magic Circus. He then decided to travel through Ghana, Mali, and Upper Volta in Africa experiencing new musical styles that would influence his own style. While in Africa he contracted malaria. When he finally returned to the United States he began studying at CalArts even though he was not really a student there.
In 1861 Cezanne moved to Paris, but it only lasted about six months. He suffered from depression and decided to move home, wondering if he had chosen the wrong career. After a year of working with his father, he decided to give painting another try. The first six months back in Paris were very hard on the new artist. He had failed the entrance exam at Ecole des Beaux-Arts, which was the official painting school in Paris. At the same time his artwork was rejected at The Salon, the official art exhibition of the Academie des Beaux-Arts. While in Paris, he met Camille Pissarro an Impressionist painter. Pissarro was able to help the young developing artist. The more mature artist was able to mentored Cezanne and over the course of their friendship they started working on projects together, wo...

When Andre was young and went off to further his education, he became fluent in English, French, German, and Italian. He drew and painted, wrote lyric and comic verse, as well as playing the flute. Education was very important to him. After finding out about his fathers death, he felt the need that it was his obligation to come home and start financially supporting his family. That same year, he fell in love with a women named Honora Sneyd who fell for him as well. After declaring their love for one another, John and Honora had to w...
It takes many experiences in order for an immature child to become a responsible, well-rounded adult. In J. D. Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye, Salinger’s main character Holden Caulfield matures throughout the course of the novel. In the beginning of the novel, Holden is a juvenile young man. However, through his experiences, Holden is able to learn, and is finally able to become somewhat mature by the end of the novel. In The Catcher in the Rye, Holden Caulfield’s story represents a coming of age for all young adults.
I found the article, "Coming of Age in New Jersey" to be extremely interesting. It was fascinating to read about how college life differed from the time that Michael Moffatt was an undergraduate, but there were also some aspects of college that had remained the same. As I was reading, I found the section titled, "What College is REALLY Like" to be particularly interesting. In the essay, Moffatt talks about how college was a mix between academics and experiencing "college life". It was interesting because in doing this experiment, he was able to gain a dual perspective on college. He had a professor's point of view and also the point of view of the students.
Criss. Due to him passing away in 2010 I gathered health information from my father. W.C. was obese most of his adult life, and at age 45 was diagnosed with type II diabetes, high blood pressure, and macular degeneration. He died later due to neglect in a nursing home after experiencing a stroke. The next family member I focused on was my father. My father became overweight at age 35 and was diagnosed with diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease at age 51. He was also later diagnosed with obesity and in 2015 diagnosed with IgG4 related disease. This leads to the current youngest generation B. Criss. Currently no major known health issues, except Raynaud’s, a circulation disorder where distal vessels constrict due to cold, and occasional childhood
In his article entitled, The Centenarian, author Henry J. Aaron notes that by the middle of this century, there will be more than one-million people living in the United States who are over 100 years-of-age. In 1960, there were one-million 85 year-olds. At the beginning of the twentieth-cen...

Although an artist should be able to be at peace with his/her surroundings, van Gogh could never blend in with society nor could he get along with other artists. As a young man, his peers did not accept Vincent: “in the class of Mr. Bokma he certainly was the most advanced, but he does not feel at home at the school, he is ‘like a fish out of water’ he says, and is ridiculed for is peculiarities in dress and manners.” (48). Van Gogh was uncomfortable in his surroundings at Brussel, a school for teaching religion, and was mocked by his classmates because his attire was disagreeable to their taste. As he matured as a man, he still was unable to get along with other people: “Acquaintances, and relatives are shocked to see him walk about with such a slovenly woman; nobody cares to associate with him any longer and his home life is such that nobody come to visit him.” (56) Many people disagreed or disliked the fact that he was involved with a woman, who was “such a slovenly woman”, and so they never cared to visit Vincent anymore or have any association with him any longer. Even as an artist, van Gogh could not even get along with other artists let alone society as a whole: “ Vincent and I simply cannot live together in peace, in consequence of incompatibility of temper, and he as well as I, we need quiet for our work.”(73). This quote was from a letter from G...

Mendes started posting his videos on the internet in 2013. By August of 2014, he was the third most followed musician on Vine. His dream was always to become a musician. “I was consistent with these six-second videos of me singing on YouTube, on Twitter, on Instagram," he explains. "[I was] posting pictures all the time. I kinda didn't know what I was doing, but I was doing something." (Rolling Stones, April 13,2016) Before he became famous he was just an average everyday student. “I was an average student. I wasn't any stand out. I remember when people started to know who I was and the label offers, people started to get a little weird and be weird around me. But now when I go back, people are fine." (Rolling Stones, April 13, 2016)
Born in a cold winter day of 1841, in Lomoges, France, Pierre Augustine Renoir lived a long and happy life of more than eight decades. Being one of the six children in the poor family of a tailor and seamstress, Renoir from childhood understood what he is up to in his future life. From early age he was drawing and self studied art in free time. Renoir’s parents arranged him to work in a Porcelain Factory, where he was working as a decorator of plates and other objects. The fortune came up in such a way that when Renoir was five his family moved to Paris and lived in a house right by the famous French Louvre. Most of his free time, Renoir spent in Louvre trying to copy the famous works from the walls of the museum. As the time passed more and more people started recognising his talent which made him many wealthy friends. His talent of great drawing allowed him to enter the famous during
Physical Problems are often introduced when individuals begin to age. Their bodies may become less resilient, more rigid, more fragile and they are unable to perform the normal activities they once could.
