Abstract
This bachelor thesis shows the importance of having knowledge and understanding consumer behaviour. It highlights general tourism market trends and customers’ motives to travel nowadays. It analysis young travellers tastes and desires in order to have clear picture about targeting this group of people from marketing perspective.

It is still changing it. Globalisation has touched many economic spheres. One of the brightest is tourism sphere. Today’s tourism is quite different it was even 20 years ago.
Technology such e-markets, Internet, mobile devices changed the way tourism used to operate. Today there is no need going to tourism agency to choose you travel. Everything you need the access to the Internet and device. Consumer can book his the best trip in “two clicks”, having saved his time and money.
Definitely tourism market has changed and consumer behaviour either. This research paper has the aim to find out what are the modern trends of tourism market in the world and recognize consumer behaviour on this market.
It is hard overestimate the importance of understanding consumer behaviour. It is impossible to sell even the best product/service in the world not having any knowledge about you customer and not understanding his or her needs.

3.3 Data collection method
The research methods used to conduct this study include both primary and secondary sources in order to deeply analyze the topic. Secondary sources used for the purpose of this project are mostly retrieved from books and from literature on consumer behavior and tourism industry. When it comes to primary data, survey was conducted (see Appendix 1). Survey has been chosen, because it helps:
• To reduce time of gathering needed data
• To save money
• To cover big number of responders
• To get more accurate results
Only closed-ended types of questions were used in particular survey. Multiple-choice questions and rating scale questions were used.
Still, the survey conducted has it own limitations. It is difficult to find out if participants are honest and serious, when they are giving their responds. Its not easy to monitor if one participant give his or her answers only once. The sample size is not big, thus accuracy of data is not
The tourist industry has changed by a large amount, over the past few years due to the change in peoples’ life style and the change in the economy. Now that people earn much more money than in the past people can afford to spend more money on leisure. People now have the benefits of a paid holiday which leads to a lot of tourism as the individual gets his/her holiday money from their work place.

Consumer Behaviour is crucial and an important part of marketing strategy. Organizations have to understand their customers, build strong relationships, provide necessary information about the products and services and stay close to them. Many successful companies have recognized the importance of consumers and have sophisticated approaches and detailed data from which to develop organizational and marketing strategies. Consumer behaviour means personal thoughts and feelings, people attitude, trust and experience, the actions they perform in consumption process and also all the things that can have an influence the attitudes. It is important to understand that consumer behaviour is dynamic, needs interactions and exchanges.
Consumer behavior is the study of how individuals, groups, and collective entities choose, purchase, utilize, and discard ideas, goods, or services to satisfy needs and wants.
The travel and tourism is one of the leading job creators in the world recently. The tourism industry hires about 98 million people directly, signifying over 3% of all employment. If indirect and induced impacts are included in the tourism industry, it contributes to around one in eleven jobs worldwide. Over the last two decades for example, Travel and Tourism has played a more and more important role in the economic development of many countries especially less-developed ones. Increased travel across the globe has been driven by growth in greater amounts of leisure time; improved and highly accessible transportation systems; real incomes and including supply chains; highly effective communication systems that enable marketing and a important number of the new tourism services. Customer behavior can be defined as the process used by organizations, individuals and groups, to select, buy or use particular products or services to satisfy their needs and the impact it has on the society (Wikipedia, consumer behavior). Every product in the market is given a different value by an individual user based on the need it satisfies and also the level of the want. For example a person may put choosing a car as just for a means of transport from point A to point B but for another individual a car is not only used as a mode of transport but also as a means of his lifestyle. Many marketers use these difference of needs in consumers to create different marketing campaigns to attract consumers that use their products.

Now a days travel and tourism becomes easier due to advancement in technology. This technological advancement calls for the changes in the tourism industry which makes it rapidly growing industry of the world.
