Adolf Hitler Born in the Austrian town of Braunau on April 20, 1889, Adolf was the fourth child of Alois Schickelgruber and Klara Hitler. By 1900, young Adolf's talents as an artist surfaced. He did well enough in school to be eligible for either the university preparatory school or the technical/scientific Realschule. Because the technical/scientific Realschule had a course in drawing, Adolf enrolled in there. Adolf suffered from frequent lung infections, and he quit school at the age of 16, partially the result of ill health, but mainly the result of poor schoolwork. In 1906, Adolf traveled Vienna to seek his fortune, but he wasn't able to get admission to any prestigious art school. Hitler spent six years there, living on a small amount of money left for him from his father supplemented with an orphan's pension. On the verge of becoming penniless by 1909, he wandered Vienna as a transient, sleeping in bars, flophouses, and shelters for the homeless, including, ironically, those financed by Jewish philanthropists. It was during this period that he developed his prejudices about Jews, his interest in politics, and the sharpening his debating skills. Vienna was a center of anti-Semitism, and the media's portrayal of Jews as scapegoats with stereotyped attributes did not escape Hitler's fascination. In May 1913, Hitler, trying to avoid military service, left Vienna for Munich, the capital of Bavaria. In January, the police came to his door bearing a draft notice from the Austrian government. The document threatened him a year in prison and also a fine if he was found guilty of leaving his country and trying to avoid military service. Hitler was arrested on the spot and taken to the Austrian Consulate. He was ... ... middle of paper ... ...cupied Europe at Normandy on the French coast. Then Italy, Germany's major ally under the leadership of Fascist dictator Benito Mussolini, had fallen. Several attempts were made on Hitler's life during the war, but none was successful. In 1945, as the war appeared to be inevitably lost, Hitler retreated to his underground bunker in Berlin where he ultimately killed himself on April 30, 1945. His long-term mistress and new bride, Eva Braun, joined him in suicide. By that time, one of his chief objectives was achieved with the annihilation of two-thirds of European Jewry. This man rose to power promising to restore Germany as a world power and establish the German people as the "master race". He was not German. His political views and anti-Semitism now seem very troubled. His legacy of death and destruction on a global scale effects the world even today.
Hitler was born in April of 1889 to a saddened mother. He was the youngest of several children who had all died in their youth, and this great loss had taken a great toll on both of his parents. Adolph's father was an elderly man who did not involve himself in his son's life and died when Adolph was still a young boy. Klara Hitler, on the other hand, played a larger role in Adolph's life as he became and artist. So it was a tragic blow for the young man when his mother died of cancer in 1907. Despite this terrible event, Hitler applied to the prestigious Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, where he was denied. Undettered, Hitler reapplied soon after, but was not accepted.
At a young age of three (1892), Adolf and his family moved to Passau, Germany, where Hitler acquired his distinctive lower Bavarian dialect. Two years later, the family moved to Leonding, Austria. As a mere child, 6 years of age, Adolf attended Volksschule School which was state-supported. Once, he discovered a picture book among his father’s belonging filled with information about the Franco Prussian War. This book intrigued Adolf and he became fixated on warfare.
Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 and died on April 30, 1945. He was Chancellor of Germany in 1933 and Führer (leader) from 1934 until his death, being the leading exponent of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (Nazi Party). Hitler, who was the main cause of World War II, won at the beginning of his government popular with his people because of his charismatic personality.
In World War I he served in the Bavarian army, was gassed and wounded, and received the Iron Cross (first class) for bravery. The war had embittered him and he blamed Germany’s defeat on the Jews and the Marxists. He settled in Munich, joined with other nationalists in 1920, to form the Nazi party. In 1923, he tried to overthrow Bavaria’s Republican governmen...
The Soviets had driven the German army back into Western Europe, and the Allies were advancing into Germany. On April 29, 1945, Hitler married his girlfriend, Eva Braun, in a small civil ceremony in his Berlin bunker. Around this time, Hitler was informed of the assassination of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini(Roberts 73). Afraid of falling into the hands of enemy troops, Hitler and Braun committed suicide the day after their wedding, on April 30, 1945. Their bodies were carried to the bombed-out garden behind the Reich Chancellery, where they were burned. Berlin fell on May 2,
German war under Hitler was so powerful at the beginning of World War II. Later, the Germany became weaker and weaker as they go through the battles. In 1943, at the battle of Stalingrad, the allied troops invade Berlin. He married Eva Braun on April 29, 1945 and wrote his final political testament. The next day (April 30, 1946) they killed themselves using poison tablets when they realize that they are no longer safer. Seven days after Hitler’s Death, Germany Surrendered.
... its citizens, it could be said that he showed other nations the true powers of Germany, and had he continued to fulfill his mission Germany could have been prosperous. It is only fair to say that people are entitled to their own opinions, but a leader is one who works with others to grow and succeed. As for Adolf Hitler, he not only oppressed and exploited people of Germany, but mentality ruined populations and generations of people as well.
Many people see Hitler as a bad man; others see him as a man that just wants his country back on top. He single handedly convinced the whole German population to back him up. All he wanted was the best for his country. He was willing to do anything it took to make his country the best it could possibly be.
Adolf Hitler is a man who devoted his political career to the Nazi party. This delusional individual went from a simple soldier in the first world war to being the cause and waging the the second. HItler came to Germany when the country was in great need of hope. Struck by poverty as they needed still needed to pay France’s reparations, Germany was also hit by the great depression. This unfortunate mix destroyed its economy, with loads of debt to pay because of the treaty of versailles which ended the first world war German people needed a courageous leader. Hitler was elected to be chancellor of Germany in 1933, he won the race because he promised a bright future for the german people who he thought had a right to tower over all other nations
money from his father's will and moved to Vienna in 1907 to become an art student. He took the entrance examination twice but failed both times. He could not bring himself to tell his mother that he had failed, so he stayed in Vienna acting as an art student. While Hitler was in Vienna, his mother died of cancer. He loved his mother very much and carried a picture of her wherever he went.
Struggling to find work and stay alive, Hitler perished. He was at dead end in his life, when news of a possible World War was around the corner. After the war began, Hitler found a new home in the trenches on the battlefields fighting for Germany. Hitler enlisted in a Bavarian Regiment, a regimen...
Schooling was one of the main things that set Hitler off in the real world. At age 11 he was very popular among friends. As of well, he was excellent in school. He received the highest marks in all of his classes. Problem was, was that when he hit age 12 he all of the sudden became the least desirable in his school. Then instead of receiving the highest marks he received the lowest marks in his classes. In 1900 his father took notice of this problem then withdrew him from school and sent him to a civil servant school named Realschule. In 1904 he quit Realschule and joined another school named Steyr only to quit in 1905. For 2 years he did no schooling and only art. His dream even as a child was to be an artist but for a short time he wanted to be a priest. When his 2 years of art was done he thought that his art was great so he traveled to Vienna, Austria for it. When he took the entrance exam he ended up failing tremendously. He tried the exam again but failed again. That then brought Hitler to a dark depression and he disappeared for 5 years.
During the summer of 1941, Chancellor Adolf Hitler initialized “The Final Solution'; to the “Jewish Question';. Hitler started this program because he wanted to create a highly centralized state and one for the master race, Germans. Exterminating Jews was, for Hitler, the only way to create a perfect Germany because it would eliminate the ‘malignant tumors’, the race that caused Germany to lose World War One. Hitler’s decision to start exterminating Jews changed the course of history. In the end, over 6,000,000 Jews were killed and a Jewish state known as Israel, evolved.
As you can see, Adolf Hitler is one of the most influential figures of the 20th century because he killed millions of Jews trying to perfect humanity through the Holocaust, his reign and military leadership of Germany lead to World War II, and his efforts of world domination influenced history forever. Used brutal methods to wipe out the jews. Used his military power to start WWI. His efforts lead to many changes that still influence our world today. Outcomes from the war still exist today such as the controversy in Israel, the creation of the United Nations, and the awareness towards protecting people’s rights. Hitler’s reign of power in Germany resulted in many horrific incidents; but we used his actions as a way to better our world by preventing people like him from coming into power.
