When looking at the criminal justice system, the belief is that in order for justice to occur an individual must pay for the crime they committed. This mindset has created a shift in the values related to the importance of a conviction, whether it is ethical or not. As society begins to unfold, situations transform from a black or white state to grey where ethical judgements are needed to decipher the multitude of morals, views, and opinions encompassed within. Ambiguous social questions arise as to the right or wrong action to take, this is referred to as ethical issues (Pollock, 2015). Ethical issues are difficult to fully comprehended and a prime example is if a conviction means justice for prosecutors. Having a false or simplistic idea
Law enforcement professions ensure obedience to the laws. The judiciary officials are judicial authorities of a country. Correction is the action or process of correct something. Law enforcement professionals, judiciary officials, and corrections all are important to the criminal justice system. It is important to know the purpose of each branch. Justice is not the main virtue of the constitution, but due process is. The judiciary officials have the final say in a court ruling; therefore, I think that the judiciary branch is the most important branch of the criminal justice system.

Ethics play a huge role in a police officers line of work. This can range from just minor acts that are frowned upon, to actual downright illegal activity. Even though there are a countless number of acts and behaviors that can be considered unethical, in the following paper I will focus primarily on those incidents involving police officers who steal for their own personal gain, and discuss my position on the issue.

The defense lawyers and prosecutors share common characteristics as officers of a court of law. However, when it comes to professional ethics are a world apart in actual prosecutions. Both groups have very specific ethical responsibilities to their clients, the administration of justice and the court itself. During a trial, these differences in the ethical obligations define the motives and actions of both parties. The defense attorney is ethically obligated to yield to the decisions of their customers. Unless the customer is clear that she wants her lawyer to do what they see fit, a defense lawyer can only offer advice and suggest a course of action (Keyes, 2014). Plaintiff attorneys on the other side have full autonomy. They can take your case in any direction they please and can implement their own strategies for the courtroom in an attempt to obtain a conviction. While your client is technically the people in your area of practice, the public has no voice in the actions of a prosecutor and an attorney is not ethically obligated to comply with your preferences.
