The Five Themes of Geography Essay

I am proud to say I was born and raised in the small town of Tallassee, Alabama. There are not many landscapes and main attractions that we have in Tallassee, but it is the movement and human-environment interactions of people who live to make their town better that makes it remarkable. Even though I love Tallassee Al, I have always wanted to travel the world and see everything there is to see. So back in 2009, I decided to relocate to the historic city of Montgomery, Alabama and it has been the greatest move I could ever make. Montgomery, Alabama was integrated in 1819, built over rolling terrain at an altitude of almost 220 feet (67 m) above sea level. Majority of Montgomery lies along the southern bank of the Alabama River.
The region of Montgomery id located along the southern part of Alabama, which is bordered by Tennessee, Mississippi, and Georgia. There are four different zip codes that make up the city of Montgomery: 36000s, 36100s, 36700s, and 36800s. The only area code we have is *334 and time is based in the central time zone.
I grew up hearing about the city of Montgomery and how it is known as one of the most historical cities in United States. The best things to visit here are the Montgomery Zoo, Alabama State Capitol, First White House of Confederacy, Civil Rights Memorial, and the RSA Tower. It is also home to the Jubilee Cityfest, an annual music festival that features a wide range of notorious performers, like Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, John Mayer, and Bruno Mars. The RSA Tower is the most prominent feature of Montgomery's skyline, standing at 375 ft.

...n of Montgomery is what helps establish the movement theme of geography, as well as the transportation factor. In 2010, it was it that the city was home to almost 375,000 people. There are two major Interstate highways, interstate 85 interstate 65, that help residents head northbound to Birmingham or Huntsville or northeast to Atlanta, Georgia. Interstate 85 runs through the eastern-western part of Montgomery, which travelers use to frequent the local attractions. There is one main airport located here in Montgomery, known to some as Dannelly Fields or to others as Montgomery Regional Airport. If local residents cannot afford those means of transportation, the city provides a bus transit system that gives rides to almost 5,000 residents per day. There are many means of transportation for people to go from place to place, even if they wish to travel outside the city.
