Brief Overview of Treatment and Main Concerns Throughout the Taman case, the Taman family received different treatments from different services. Though some of the services received were understood, and considered to be beneficial, the majority of the services received by the Taman family were widely misunderstood, questioned and thought to be inconsiderate, unnecessary and intrusive at a time that a family is supposed to be grieving and trying to understand the sudden loss of their loved ones. This being said throughout the inquiry the treatment received by the Taman family is discussed in detail, it is here that I will provide a brief overview of the treatment the Taman family received and the main concerns that need to be discussed in regards to these treatments or lack thereof. This being said, the "full extent of victimization by impaired drivers in Canada is not known" (justice.gc.ca). Furthermore, “despite the devastating impact impaired driving is known to cause, victims of impaired driving crashes are yet to be fully recognized as victims of violent crime” (Victims of crime, week 4). It is believed that this association exist because members of society do not associate intent in regards to injury in cases of impaired driving. The crash is often further associated as an accident rather than an intended action. Yet it is not the notion of the crash that causes victimization to family and friends, but rather the association with the intent to drive while under the influence of alcohol that further victimizes the family through their own continuous disbelief and “wrong place wrong time”
