The industrial revolution began in the 18th century in Britain, spread to three other parts of the world, and included the people as well as government. It started for a number of reasons, but one reason was because Britain had access to certain resources such as coal and iron. For instance, in the 1820s, there were 240,000 home weavers and in the 1830s there were 230,000 home weavers. The home weaver rate is important because it displays the significance of home weavers because of how many people participated in the job. As well as home weavers there were factory weavers as an option for a job. In the 1820s there were only about 10,000, but as the years past the amount of factory weavers increase. In the 1830s there were 50,000, in 1845 there were 150,000, in the 1860s there were about 200,000 and finally in the 1880s there were 250,000 factory workers.
